37th AAEE Annual Conference 2026
The University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, 13 – 16 December
“Making the Impossible POSSIBLE”
Welcome
We are excited to invite you to the 37th Annual Conference of the Australasian Association for Engineering Education (AAEE), to be held from 13-16 December 2026 in Sydney, Australia. The conference’s theme, “Making the Impossible Possible”, captures the essence of engineering as a driving force for transformation and innovation.
Inspired by the visionary words of von Karman, who noted that while scientists discover what is, engineers build what never was, AAEE 2026 aims to explore the pivotal role of engineering education in shaping the future. We will focus on the vital knowledge, skills, and attitudes that future engineers must possess to thrive in an increasingly complex world. We’ll examine how to bridge technical expertise with real-world social impact, ensuring that engineering education remains a catalyst for innovation and positive change.
The conference will take place at UNSW’s Kensington Campus. It is easily accessible, just 20 minutes from Sydney’s CBD, Sydney Airport, and the world-famous beaches of Coogee and Bondi.
Authors in all areas of engineering education are invited to submit full papers or expressions for interest for workshops.
